Calendar

Ever wonder why it's year 2023 for the Christian religion, or year 5783 for the Jewish religion, or year 1444 for the Muslim religion, or year 2564 for the Buddhist religion, or year 180  for the Baha'i Faith?  It's because each time that God sends a new religion for mankind, that religion establishes a new calendar.

In the Baha'i Faith, the calendar consists of 19 months of 19 days plus 4 intercalary days at the end of February.  Baha'is hold a monthly worship service where they gather to read the Holy Writings, pray, discuss the affairs of the community and strengthen the bonds of fellowship during the social portion.  This worship service is called Feast.  It is a spiritual and material Feast for the community.
