Daily Life

A main principle of Bahá'u'lláh is for each person to conduct their own investigation of the truth.

The principles of the Teachings of Baha’u’llah should be carefully studied, one by one, until they are realized and understood by mind and heart — so will you become strong followers of the light, truly spiritual, heavenly soldiers of God, acquiring and spreading the true civilization. – 'Abdu’l-Baha

To become a Baha'i is to undertake a life-long journey of individual, spiritual growth that will transform the individual so that they can better serve humanity.   A goal of a Baha'i's daily life is to develop, strengthen and deepen their spiritual nature.

Daily Prayers

Baha'is say one of three designated prayers each day.  These prayers are the spiritual food for our souls.

The shortest prayer is:

"I bear witness, O my God, that Thou hast created me to know Thee and to worship Thee. I testify, at this moment, to my powerlessness and to Thy might, to my poverty and to Thy wealth.  There is none other God but Thee, the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting."  - Baha'u'llah

Daily Readings

Bahá'u'lláh revealed over 100 volumes during His lifetime.  Baha'is read, study, and meditate on these writings every morning and evening.
